Empress Maria Theresa Walburga Amalia Christina reigned for 40 years in Austria, Hungary, Croatia and other adjacent regions that formed the Habsburg dominions. She gave birth to sixteen children and most of the time had to face constant wars, including the War of the Austrian Succession.
